One of the things I love most about this town are the hidden courtyards you stumble upon, and the magical rooftops above them...

Like Russian nesting dolls🪆 there are hidden courtyards under stunning rooftops behind beautiful doorways on every picturesque cobblestoned little street…

After seeing my mom again for the first time in 4 years I burst into tears 😭

You don’t realize how quickly time passes until you have kids and one year flows into the next and they go from babies to big kids in the blink of an eye 👁

We finally got to go on our trip to Mexico that we had to cancel last March when we went into lockdown 🇲🇽 ✈️

Traveling again has been so liberating✨

We had an amazing time in magical San Miguel de Allende with my brother and mom - get ready for vaca spam 😂 📸

we had the most chill getaway over Memorial Day weekend, and even though it rained a lot, when you're staying right on the beach it's impossible not to relax...

and eat fro yo, go dune running, and collect shells, rocks and tiny snails...

and stay up laughing and talking with friends...

and sleep deeply with the salty sea air and sound of water...

plus our niece is visiting over the summer and the girls are beyond over the moon in love with their sweet cousin 💕 they even got to watch the original Alice in Wonderland in the prettiest tiny movie theater.

My first Mother’s Day was also the only one I’ve spent with my mom as a mother myself - it was so amazing celebrating a double Mother’s Day in person🌷

I haven’t seen my mom in 4 years but I’m hoping to soon 🤞🏽

Just waiting for her to finalllly get the vaccine in Mexico 🇲🇽 💉 we forgot how lucky we are to have access to it here...

I had the loveliest day with my girls. They woke me up with pancake breakfast in bed and handmade cards and gifts 🥞🥰

Then we bought alllll the plants at my fave nursery 🪴🌾🌿

And they even helped me plant them!

And then that waterfall of self-doubt rushes in.

Oh you knowwww what I'm talking about.

Anytime you come across a successful woman, influencer, or biz owner who seems to have it all together, and who seems lightyears away from your reality?

From the heaps of undone laundry, the stacks of clutter, the sieve-like brain?

Yeah I know that feeling.

It's a primal conditioning that us women have internalized for millenia, the idea that we are competition, that there is scarcity, that we are trying to attract the same rooster and there's only space for one of us to fluff up our feathers 🐓

Because we are NEVER each other's competition when it comes to living our dreams.

Even if we were doing the same thing, we cannot be.

Because it's not about the dang rooster.

The prize is freedom and abundance and success.

And it's not a zero sum game.

There is an infinite amount of it!

And there is only one of you, and one of me.

earth day is every day here at the treehouse, and i'm raising these girls to be eco warriors for Mother Nature 🌿

i've been using natural beauty and cleaning and household products for two decades, but most of them still come in unnecessary single use plastic bottles and packaging.

it just drives me bananas 🍌🍌🍌

it's so easy to just do the convenient thing when you're busy and not think about it.

but i am so done.

i go out of my way to buy glass bottles instead of plastic for supplements, herbs and spices.

and i've finally switched to ditch the plastic for cleaning products.

here are some easy ways to buy #lessplastic:

🌿 dishwasher detergent with biodegradable packaging
🌿 laundry detergent from biodegradable packaging
🌿 using beeswax cloth wrap instead of plastic wrap

bonus is this will save you so much mulah nevermind space!

next thing i’m doing is switching to refills for all our soap needs.
