Tonight, March 23rd, from 8:30-9:30 PM local time, is Earth Hour.
What exactly is Earth Hour? Earth Hour is the single, largest, symbolic mass participation event in the world. Born out of a hope that we could mobilize people to take action on climate change, Earth Hour now inspires a global community of millions of people in 7,001 cities and towns across 152 countries and territories to switch lights off for an hour as a massive show of concern for the environment.
So why not join in, turn off the lights for an hour and help show solidarity for such a great cause? Our environment is so fragile and so important, we need to take great care of it for ourselves and future generations. From 8:30-9:30 PM in your timezone, turn off the lights! It’ll be fun–you can see the stars better, help conserve a little more energy, and so much more! We love our mother Earth!
